Bahrain 2013: Ramadan Kareem

During Ramadan, all restaurant closed in order to respect this holy Month of Ramadan.
This is the local brand fast food: Jasmi's
I follow my cousin and uncle to this tailor shop that tailor high quality suits, etc.
I did follow my cousin for taraweeh prayer at the nearby mosque. It was a great experience though. They all mostly in black, but we Malaysian like to pray with white. Since I don't look local - Chinese or east Asian looking are pretty rare - I feel that maybe they see me a little bit 'rare' haha. There's a lot of Indian, Nepalese, Indonesian and Filipino working in Bahrain.
But we everyday pray taraweeh at home.
Malaysian here are mostly professional worker, like engineer, architect, etc..

During Ramadan, I follow my aunt, cousin, uncle to go shopping.
Basically we just stay in the house most of the time due to hot weather outside (its summer here).

Some vegetables that are normal vegetable in Malaysia like okra is frozen.
Since Bahrain is a desert-like topography, it doesn't allow any vast agriculture - in other word, it is not suitable.
TOP: Bottled chocolate water... I found it rather peculiar! lol
This is the popular brand here for Milk.
More photos here on our break-fast food here in Bahrain!

Bahrain 2013: Departure

Basically what I gonna write about in this blogpost is my experience on a different airplane than I usually take: MAS and AirAsia.

For departure to Bahrain, I took SriLankan Airlines. We had transit at Colombo, Sri Lanka.
SriLankan airline is the cheapest to go Bahrain. Well, it is economical.

My Electromagnetic lecturer is a Sri Lankan.
I really like the way he teach. He really try his best to make us understand this subject.
Many people failed this subject. Surprisingly I got A! Wow... Didn't expect that at all.

By the way, it seems like lots , lots of my friend are going vacation/internship overseas, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, New Zealand, USA, Australia, Europe... Some went oversea few times!
So rich ahh?? The peer pressure has been up to another limit!

Well, I guess... none went to this part of the globe: The ARABIAN GULF country.
Except those who study at Oman or Egypt...
Well, now pretty much not suitable to visit the middle east anyway...

Well, lets continue about my journey from Malaysia to Bahrain!
By the way, I depart to Bahrain when it is still during fasting month of Ramadan. But due to the journey through plane, we are not fasting on that day.

The journey:
KLIA, Malaysia >> Colombo, SriLanka ~~ 3 hour 35 minute
Colombo, SriLanka >> Manama, Bahrain ~~ 5 hour 20 minute

twenty-two. 15-08-2013

Hello everybody!
It a tradition every year since I get active with blogging that I will update a post on my birthday.
I've being lazy nowadays since blogging require lots of effort.
I mean, nobody gonna read it anyway. hahaha

But this time I need to continue on the tradition each year with some updates!

I'll update full stories of my Bahrain experience soon, after returning to Malaysia, and get all my exams done.
But for now, long story short: I'm celebrating Eid and Birthday in Bahrain.

I'm so happy that this is the best birthday gift that my dad give to me.
Being in Bahrain is good enough, I'm happy already.
But something amazing that I don't actually expected at all happen!

I love the complementary dessert~ celebrating India's independent day.
I am born on the same day as India's Independent day! =D
Its a coincidence that we ate at the Indian restaurant. hehe
Look at this hungry face -_-
Guess where is the next location of my birthday celebration?

Here's the clue:
Tower of Bahrain's capital city of Manama.
My birthday is at the East Building of the Financial Harbour Building -- above postcard photo.
Its on the 52nd Floor at the Capital Club. Which has an amazing view of Bahrain!
I gotta said that this is beyond my wildest dream ever that I'll be celebrating my birthday there!!
I must have done something good somewhere, alhamdulillah.
Do good thing to people, you never know =)
Signing the guest book.

Daddy, Thank you so much!
Thats all for today's post. Its really an amazing moment of my life.
Next year, I cannot go out and have vacation like this anymore.
I have internship and prepare for Final Year!
I totally have a BLAST!

I'm so blessed and I'm so grateful with whatever that I got.
Alhamdulillah. :)
Insya allah, I'll do my best to achieve a greater height and study as high as where I celebrated my birthday, or even higher!

What a day to start my 22nd year of my life.
Dream Summit.Sky High. Work Harder. Be Smart.
Yeah, this mark the beginning of a very challenging journey ahead!

Eventhough I reach my 22 mark of my life, I still feel that I' just 18 today. haha.
I feel so young :)

HKUST International Summer Program 2012: [Finals and Return]

Presentation day~ I wear my 2008's baju raya =D
So proud wear baju kurung in Hong Kong! hehe
So finally~!
I'm gonna wrap up my journey for the last few days in Hong Kong in this post.

This is taken on the way to class.
Look at the shadow - looks like the arrow to go class~

On the same side, taken on afternoon, the arrow pointed to the way to hostel!

Such memories that I made: friends, environment, university, lecturer, food, .. I'm in love with Hong Kong.
I feel that I can blend in with the HK society... with a hiccup. I can't speak Chinese!
I am gonna miss HK a lot!!

I need to 'add oil' for Chinese as I really really really need it.
Really!

Click read more to read about my final memories in Hong Kong that ended my HKUST International Summer Program 2012.

EE Sem II : [The 1st 2 week]

Amazing view. Almost empty car park.
I came back to UPM rather early, as early as two weeks earlier before the semester starts.
I stayed at my beloved college and change room 3 times.. Mind you, my stuff is super lots!
My own room's key is red. :) Different colour = different floor

At last, on Sunday, we change back to our own room.
From my room's window
Happy :)

But before that, I met my 1st ever friend, and I consider her like my own sister, Syafira. It has been almost 10 years though. We met occasionally in between but, not really meet and talk like we used to. Since she moved to Westport, and a lot of things had happen to her family, we rarely talk. We just keep in touch by phone, message, Facebook.. But to be honest, we seriously didn't talk for almost 10 years. When we met, it felt like is seems as it was yesterday that she left and move school. We're really close, we share childhood  memories...  She's my best friend. She's very pretty too. Taller than me. Haha
Ya, me and ibu
We celebrate Ya and Shahmi Birthday together! So sweet~

Yummy cake!
Kak Yun~

Eat~ Eat~
It was really memorable day when ya, ibu, kak yun, Apop and me met. A lot of things happen, people change, but one thing that doesn't change is that we are a family even though there's no blood connection between us.
Me and ibu
******************
1st week of university is not a joke. It was damn pack and busy for god sake! 1st day itself, I wake up pretty early, about 6am. Then get ready for the first class, that is Oral Interactive Skill. the class rather fun, I must say, as I really love to talk. This is the chance to brush up my english skills!

I was appointed as assistant of head class =.='' haha Whatever-lah..
The class was fun, the lecturer are nice too. Can't wait for the roleplaying! Been looking forward to it.

Next class is semiconductor devices. It is crucial for me to love this subject because it is related to micro-electronic. Been thinking of doing major doing micro-electronic.  ^^

OMG.. Super love these instruments~ :D
Even in the 1st week itself, I can feel the pressure on my shoulder that I need to maintain my first class CGPA no matter what. So that we can break the previous record. Seriously? Yes I am.
1st day: Go eat dinner together with my nice colleague :)
We got rather lot of homework though... Need to diligently finish it all!! On the first week too, I join MURoC, not as player though. I go there to observe. :D
After reaching back, I seriously feel like building a robot and enter the competition. Serious.
I got the passion, but do I have what it takes?

But it is a great experience. I'm gonna post it on my next post.

Looking forward to it ya~ :)
