Majlis Perpisahan Pengawas STAR 2009

Now finally after 2 years! I posted this video on Youtube or you can read more below to watch it here.

MPP STAR 2009
Majlis Perpisahan Pengawas STAR 2009

This event is organized by prefects and for me, it was awesome.

Maybe some of you realized that I cut my performance part. ><;; it was horrible, better cut it off. lol

Anyway, I might post it when I'm ready (with a lot of cutting and editing ><) haha

Sorry for the screaming girls... they are like that, too excited. I suppose.

I am the camera-girl for the whole process (kinda fun, no need to join the games. lol)

Enough of the talk, watch the video!

Enjoy and have a good laugh!

P.S: I edit it with Sony Vegas ^^ with Handbrake! (the file was damn big ><;;)

21-2-11: Sofea's 5th birthday

Sofea is my niece.
My elder brother first daughter.
She's born on 21 February 2006.
She is very talkative, and she talks a lot!
She actually look like me when I'm 5 years old.
Only that I have short and straight hair.

On this particular day, STPM 2010 result is out. My result? No need to know!

She like to sing song in her way. I don't understand the word but there's melody.

A little update~ Monbukagakusho experience

From my seat in the examination hall

So now, exam is over and another life begins: Doing things that I suppose to do, and finished it.

How about the Monbukagakusho exam? Well, I think I did better than last year, especially for Mathematics (I love Maths!) But one thing I learn from this exam is that the exam format is always changing. So don’t expect that they will ask you question in one style only.

Expect the unexpected so that you won’t get shock.

I can still remember the Maths question vividly though, with some other question too (Argh!!! Question no 5 is wrong T.T). I hope I’m not too loud during exam... lol
Funny thing about Japanese Language exam is that I read the passage and I don’t really know what they talk about until I read the last paragraph. (><;;) lol

Entrance door to the exam hall

I met Seryna J H S a.k.a. princessvd there. She is such a lovely person, but still I hope I can talk to her longer though. First time coming down to KL and she prefer Penang. Can’t blame her, sometimes KL can be very horrible or very nice to you (what I’m talking about?? ><;;) lol

Confucius
The official opening ceremony was on my birthday! What a coincidence!
One of the classroom in this school. Wow.. look at the projector! lol

About the exam this year, there is lesser student who participates in this exam, perhaps due to the horrible disaster that hit Japan on 11 March 2011 and concerning radiation level at Fukushima Daiichi and some other nuclear reactor, I’m sure.

Normally the hall filled up till the end there (you can see half of the hall's light is off and the chair stacking up. That did not happen last year, as far as I remember).

According to Princessvd, she said, usually there’s one school in Penang every year will send a bus of students for this scholarship exam (except this year I guess). Every year, student from that school will get the scholarship. I think their teachers are helping them answering the IQ questions for the exam.
There’s only half of the hall is occupied by the student and only 221 applicants send application successfully according to this:
I'm NSA001 (click the picture for enlargement)
From my rough estimation of people who came, there’re approximately ±120 students and only 12 will be called for interview. So the probability around ~0.10 = ~10%. Better chances this year than last year. I hope I can get it with all the luck pouring to me and my own luck together with some additional prayers from myself, my parents and friends. About 3 weeks from now, I’ll get the answer. I hope for the best. ^^

These are some interesting pictures that I’d like to share:
Preparation before exam (sort of, lol).
My tame chicken.lol (doing chemistry)
Arrow: My magpie robin! Watching me doing Maths and enjoying music. ^^
Snack! Edamame

Subway sandwich is amazing! 1st time choosing the right bread. It is delicious, fresh and healthy!
Watching this movie for some inspiration before exam. Quite okay but the storyline is quite dull. Nevertheless, I cried.lol My favourite actor there.lol
This thing I do for my STPM, still useful though. I'm doing Physics at the whiteboard, teaching myself. (><;;)

I still have one more ‘bullet’ left for the Monbukagakusho scholarship for undergraduate. If I didn’t get this year or next year, I will do the best to qualify for postgraduate Monbukagakusho exam in any local university. No harm doing that. I’m equipping myself with ‘tools’ for me to face any result or consequences whatsoever.

How many people who are similar to me? I mean, torturing oneself with STPM (one of the tough exam in the world, I think lol) just because one wanted to go Japan (that’s me!). No doubt, it is the best choice I’ve ever made. It makes me more mature than before, able to make decision wisely and I have super wonderful friends that are supportive there! I miss the time where Say Nee and I are fighting and bullying each other. She’s my best friend! Not to mention Kai Szu too!

My classmates are great, my colleagues are wonderful and nice, prefectorial board gives me opportunity to shine in some ways and give me a great experience.

No matter whether you hate me or you like me, well nobody is perfect, each and every one of you (mention above) is special to me. I’m glad that I meet all of you and I’m not regretting my decision. I’m going to remember STAR and ET (No, I’m not a talking about astronomy!).

STAR is a short form for my form 6 school name and ET is a short form for my tuition centre.

Single word: Amazing.

P.S: I’m going to update my blog frequently from now because I’ve lots of things to share!

Special day. Special Update. 15-08-10

Today is my birthday!
The last birthday with '1' in front. Next year gonna be '2'. lol
Happy Birthday to me!

I did the writing. ^^

(I wonder how many people will wish me)
I don't expect nice birthday for me this year. Since there's so many things happen. Busy busy busy. Its ok. I don't mind.
*cry silently*
I didn't update my blog about 9 months from my last post. Extremely busy with a lot of things and a lot of things happen to me. This post going to be the longest post. I hope I won't bored you. Ever wondered what was my muet exam and my Monbukagakusho scholarship went?

Lets start with my MUET exam result:

Exactly the same marks 2 times in a row! (look at the date also) OMG... So near yet so far from band 5!!
I try again this year-end MUET exam. I will never give up!

About Monbukagakusho, I went for the exam for 5 paper, i.e: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, English and Japanese Language. Despite all my effort it doesn't seems enough. Imagine this. There are about a thousand applicants who sit for the exam. But I won't give up!
This is the exam hall looks like. I'm NSA002. The guy behind me is NSA001. He came all the way from Penang. I wonder whether he get the scholarship or not.. (Confucian Private Secondary School hall)
Last year I applied (2009) I got NSA002. This year (2010) also NSA002. ha ha ha.
(why I keep getting repeated number?)

I never regret the fact that I take form six. Its the best decision I've made so far despite so many challenge and difficulties. Great friend. Great teacher. Great experience. I'm gonna miss the school life.

I always wanted to become prefect when I'm in form 1. I undergo probation last time but I wasn't the chosen one. I get the opportunity to become a prefect in form 6. I'm glad that I become one member in this family. Somehow I feel sad about leaving the board. Thanks for all the prefects that made my life such a wonderful story. I wanted to take this opportunity to apologize to any prefect or non-prefect if I did something wrong or offensive word or act that hurt any of you guys. I'm not perfect and human will never escape from making mistakes. Thank you!

-Majlis Perpisahan Pengawas 2010 : 8/8/10- Kai Shin and me. I gonna miss you! (Thanks to Siti Sarah for this gorgeous picture: taken from Facebook)
I love the prefect blazer for no particular reason. I guess there's a lot of sentimental value for me.

I would like to thank to Shaun Leslie the opportunity to sing in the band (Its my dream!). We're practicing like hell for 2 weeks. haha. The talented musician in the band turned out to be my own classmate. haha. I'm talking about you, Edmund and the rest of the musician, Zhi Cong, Joannes, and of course Shaun himself. I have a terrible sore throat + fever 4 days before and my voice is not at its best. Sorry if I ruined the performance in any way. Thanks a lot guys!
Me singing 'fly' by Hillary Duff. Thanks to Shardha Lim for the picture.
Thank you to Kak Mira for lending me the dress. ^^.

These are some captured moment that I took:
Eating at mamak after practicing. lol
Shaun and Zhi Cong (in studio)
Joannes and Sarah
Edmund and Loges
These are some moments in school:
Mix everything! - Chemistry lab-
Cleaning class
Physics lab
My best crazy friend ever !  Say Nee and me!!

There's a lot of moment that I won't trade for anything in this world.
I'm happy that I take form 6. I never regret it. Despite I didn't able to get Monbukagakusho this year, I'll do again next year. I'll never give up. I'll do my very best to get the best result. For all the friends that I met in this adventure, thank you for colored up my life. I love all of you. Please don't forget me.

Thank you.

P.S: In this holy month of Ramadhan, I would like to take the opportunity to apologize once more to anyone that know me. Lets do our best to achieve what we aim for and be successful in any path that we took.
