HKUST International Summer Program 2012: [Departure]

Its been three days I arrive in Hong Kong for International Summer Program 2012.
It gets pretty busy here, but I really enjoy every moment of it!
Anyway, let me start my journey of story telling talking about the experience before arriving at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
It is an adventure!
Bye bye Malaysia~ Hello Hong Kong!
@ Kuala Lumpur International Airport
So these two guys are my friends, i.e my course mate too!
A lot of things happen for the 1st day itself! So I'm going to separate it into categories.
I try to document everything that I experience here and share it out.
Its a rare opportunity and I will try to experience the experience to the fullest. :D

As usual, I let the picture tells the story!
Actually, UPM bought economy class flight, but we get upgraded to business class! WOW!
We're so lucky!!
We're taking Malaysia Airline :)
HK = Hong Kong :D My upgraded seating number.
We were offered with juices. I take guava juice. Besides me is a lady who is a stranger.
My seating is the front most cabin near cockpit I guess.
Appetizer: Malaysian Satay and nuts
Appetizer: Smoked Chicken with potato and chive salad
The empty plate is the for the garlic bread. There's fruit along side with the appetizer.
Interesting shaped butter.

Main Course: Braised Duck with Soya Glaze
Just trying new taste. I don't remember I eat duck before. haha
I guess it is one of the first time~
Malaysia Airline business class service. I guess it is once in a lifetime opportunity!
Dessert: Light mango blueberry cheesecake. Nyum~!
Since it is rare experience, I must taste everything!
The turbulence outside is pretty bad. The plane shake so badly as it going  into the clouds.
Its rainy seasons.. summer.

In the dark~
Then after we land safely at Hong Kong International Airport, we meet Andy who was exchange student to UPM last semester to guide us to the university.
First, we take bus~
Inside the bus in Hong Kong
Not much difference compare to buses in Japan when I went to Japan 5 years ago

Next, take train from this station.

Building in Hong Kong is super tall! :O

Train gate. We use Octopus card (below)!
Octopus card not only can be use for train, MTR.
But also can be use to pay parking, buy food, etc etc.
I call it super card!
Super Octopus card~
Make me thought of RIP Paul the Octopus... err...
Inside the train, they call it MTR here..

My course mates and in middle is our Hong Kong friend. :)

Take mini bus to go to HKUST.
Interesting mini bus..
They are punctual and you can see the speed of that uncle drive this vehicle.
Can use Octopus here~

HKUST is built along side the hill and it facing the sea.
Which is I feel... the magical and beautiful scenery to see everyday~
Its wonderful place to study!
I'm so blessed~!

That building is hostel's building where they call it hall.
That's all for this post.
Gonna update next about my room and my hall.
It is a wonderful hall, the best hall in HKUST so far.
This makes me want to study even harder!
Its like I'm dreaming.
The closest study experience I get to Japan.
In a way, it is even better than Japan university, in terms of its location, views,...

Anyway, currently I'm pretty busy with assignments, tutorials, tests and also the Poster Day!
Looking forward to each lecture, the lecturer is super awesome.
Great experience.
Still need to do some catching-up.

To be continue tomorrow for the next post!
